A splendid apartment with very high ceiling (more than 4 meters), an ancient
private Doge's residence who ruled Venice during the Serenissima
Republic. A small terrace, in the main living room with fireplace,
overlooks the picturesque view of Campo S. Polo, heart of the
town.
The apartment is more than 200 square meters and it has been furnished in a classical Venetian style, with magnificent frescos in the double room. There are 3 others rooms: one with two single beds, which can be make into a double, another one with a French bed, and the last with a single bed and the possibility to place one more bed. In the living room you can admire the Doge's portrait and a copy of the "Zogia", a corn with precious stones, typical Doge's crown. The kitchen is very wide and good furnished (with dish washer and washing machine); it has a balcony overlooking the street. The two bathrooms have both shower and bath. The apartment is situated in Campo San Polo, one of the most
beautiful "Campo" of Venice: really close to the well-known
Rialto Bridge, it is very close to shops and restaurants where you
can taste typical Venetian food.
The Grand Canal is only 300 yards from the apartment. From there it is simple to take one of the Venetian public boats, the vaporetti, and visit the rest of Venice and/or take a trip to the Lido or one of the other islands such as Murano, Burano, or Torcello. Church of San Polo - 1 minute
